Heather Whitty

Heather Whitty has over 15 years of casting experience in Boston, NYC and LA.  Her focus is casting primarily for TV & Film.

Heather’s featured credits have included: Casting Director for the 2025 SXSW Jury Winner - F*ckups Anonymous and upcoming Fia Perera film Mermaid.

She currently works at New England’s longest running and most award winning casting company CP CASTING. Prior to joining CP Casting, Her previous featured associate credits include: Sound of Metal, Free Guy, Honest Thief and TV series: Julia (HBO) and The Society (Netflix). Along with Extras Casting work for the TV series: City on a Hill (Showtime), Hightown (Starz) and feature films: The Equalizer 2 and Brad’s Status.

Heather is also a frequent guest instructor/speaker at: Emerson College, Boston University, Sag-Aftra New England & Mass Production Collation - along with her involvement at various local film festivals - all of which keeps her deeply immersed in the New England acting community.

Heather privately coaches actors and offers classes & self tape services at Whitty Studios. A studio she created in 2021 to empower actors and bring the creativity community together.

She’s a graduate of The New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, where she studied under John Tyrell, a student of Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. Whitty also has performed as a Stand-Up Comic in Boston/New York, she was a featured Comic in Boston Comedy Festival and the Women in Comedy Festival. 

Actors who have worked with Heather have gone on to book major roles in TV/Film along with garnishing representation with top Agents and Managers in the Boston/NYC/LA markets.
